Product Description
This product is the dried root and rhizome of Panax notoginseng (Burk.) F. H. Chen, a plant of the Araliaceae family. It is harvested before flowering in autumn, washed, and the main root, branch roots, and rhizome are separated and dried. Branch roots are commonly known as "tendons", and rhizomes are commonly known as "cut ends".
[Nature and Flavor and Meridian Tropism] Sweet, slightly bitter, warm. Returns to the Liver and Stomach meridians. [Functions and Indications] Disperses blood stasis and stops bleeding, reduces swelling and relieves pain. Used for hemoptysis, hematemesis, epistaxis, hematochezia, metrorrhagia, external bleeding, chest and abdominal stabbing pain, and trauma-induced swelling and pain.
