Product Introduction
This product is the dried rhizome of Atractylodes macrocephala Koidz. of the Asteraceae family. It is dug when the lower leaves of the plant turn yellow and wither and the upper leaves become brittle. After removing sediment, it is dried by baking or sun-drying, and then the fibrous roots are removed.

Bitter and sweet in flavor, warm in nature. It pertains to the spleen and stomach meridians.
**Functions and Indications**
Strengthens the spleen and replenishes qi, dries dampness and promotes diuresis, stops sweating and prevents miscarriage. It is used for weakness of the spleen and stomach, reduced appetite, abdominal distension and diarrhea, dizziness, palpitation due to phlegm-fluid retention, edema, spontaneous sweating, and restlessness of fetus.
