Product Introduction
This product is the dried rhizome of Atractylodes lancea (Thunb.) DC. or Atractylodes chinensis (DC.) Koidz. of the Asteraceae family. It is dug in spring and autumn. After removing sediment, it is sun-dried and the fibrous roots are knocked off.

Pungent, bitter in flavor, warm in nature. It pertains to the spleen, stomach and liver meridians.
**Functions and Indications**
Dries dampness and strengthens the spleen, dispels wind and cold, improves eyesight. It is used for dampness obstructing the middle jiao, abdominal distension, diarrhea, edema, beriberi with flaccidity, wind-damp arthralgia, wind-cold common cold, night blindness, and dimness and dryness of the eyes.
