Product Description
This product is the dried rhizome of Polygonatum odoratum (Mill.) Druce of the Liliaceae family. It is dug in autumn. After removing the fibrous roots, it is washed, sun-dried until soft, then repeatedly kneaded and sun-dried until there is no hard core left, and finally dried completely; alternatively, it can be steamed thoroughly, kneaded until translucent, and then dried.

Sweet in flavor, slightly cold in nature. It pertains to the lung and stomach meridians.
**Functions and Indications**
Nourishes yin and moistens dryness, promotes fluid production and relieves thirst. It is used for injury to the yin of the lung and stomach, dry and hot cough, dry throat and thirst, and internal heat with excessive thirst.
