Product Description
This product is the dried mature fruit of Silybum marianum (L.) Gaertn. of the Asteraceae family. When the fruits are mature in autumn, the infructescences are harvested, sun-dried, the fruits are threshed, impurities are removed, and then sun-dried again.

Bitter in flavor, cool in nature. It pertains to the liver and gallbladder meridians.

Clears heat and removes toxins, soothes the liver and promotes gallbladder function. It is used for damp-heat in the liver and gallbladder, pain in the hypochondrium, and jaundice.
